L’Union Mèditerranéenne

Every people gets the government that it deserves - Voltaire

The opiated Maltese person votes so as to participate in the prostitute reveling of band clubs affiliated with the emblem of the torch upon the floor tile.

He is occasionally also bought, as one finds the free market functioning within the elections and not only within the political economy. And then somebody like Fred comes along with his dialectics and his relatively futuristic concepts and expects to reason with such people.

Not even the university students understood him. In fact they thought he was a goat: Booooooooooo. A scene that reminds one of the romance of Dostoyevsky

The problem is that not even the party faithful understood Fred when he told them that he'd like to re-open the accession packet of Europe. If they had understood him then Sharon Ellul Bonnici would also have been understood and she would have been allowed to contest with Labour. Yet the Labour party feared they would lose votes because Ellul bonnici was against entry into the European Union and it was for this reason that she wasn't allowed to contest. Yet the national Fred, who won the favour of partnership, not only contested but was at the helm.

Nestor Laiviera wrote a very interesting article for di-ve.com. He mentioned the European Union summit that the prime minister and the finance minister attended so as to boast that they have a relative majority.

Laiviera forgot to include that which the Prime Minister forgot to say upon his arrival back in Malta: The European Union's approval of the idea of Mediterranean Union by French president Nicolas Sarkozi.

In few words the creation of the mediterranean union shall offer an alternative to Turkey entering as a full member of the European Union.

It is said that Sant and Gonzi copied Sarkozi though it is Sarkozi who copied them as he did the exact opposite to the wish of the people. The French voted NO in the referendum on the European constitution in 2007, also due to the risk of Turkey entering Europe. Sarkozi seems like he is going to appease them.

Sarkozi is also attempting to eliminate article 88/5 of the french Constitution, that which states that for every new proposal from Europe, the French should call for a referendum. In this way the French can no longer say 'no' to new members.

Constitutional amendments, no to referendums... Sarkozi's stay in Malta bore fruit.

In the mediterranean union all shall enter: member countries including those with nothing to do with the Mediterranean, such as Sweden and Finland.

Sarkozi succeeded in convincing Angela Merkel in order to gain consensus for this ambitious project. This under the condition that Germany be a part of this mediterranean project so Sarkozi may be sure that Berlin and Frankfurt (where one finds the quarters of the European central bank) are in charge.

Europe is piling up the bills without the shop-owner: China.

Ron Paul said "The moral imperative of not imposing our will on others, no matter how well intentioned, is a powerful argument for minding our own business. The principle of self-determination should be respected. Strict non-intervention removes the incentives for foreign powers and corporate interests to influence our policies overseas."

Alfred Sant managed to compress the words of Ron Paul into a single word: Partnership.

The effects of the Maltese opiate are still passing.
